🏛️ Experience the tranquil atmosphere of the Showa era at the Kobe Municipal Mikage Public Hall

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip

"Kobe Municipal Mikage Public Hall" in Higashinada Ward, Kobe, is a historic Art Deco building completed in 1933. It was designed by Eiji Shimizu and constructed by Obayashi Corporation. The elegant exterior, which makes extensive use of circles and arches, is like a scene from a movie✨It is also designated as a national registered tangible cultural property [1].

When I actually visited, I felt like my soul was cleansed by the marble staircase, high ceiling, and hall filled with soft natural light. In the basement, there is a long-established Western restaurant "Koukaido Shokudo", whose specialty omelet rice is exquisite🍽️. It is perfect for a leisurely lunch with your partner or a trip to enjoy the architecture by yourself.

📍Access: About 5 minutes walk from Hanshin Railway "Ishiyagawa Station"

🎟️Travel Tips: Admission is free and no reservation is required. Please note that it is closed on Tuesdays. You can climb up to the third floor of the building, so the view from the top is also recommended📸. There is also a "Jigoro Kano Memorial Corner" in the basement, so it's perfect for history buffs.
