Are you going to Incheon without eating raw mackerel salad?

#IncheonTravel

✈️After my trip to Southeast Asia, one of the things I wanted to eat in Korea was seasoned mackerel (largehead herring) sashimi. Since I've always had it in the winter, I was dying to try it, so I visited a famous restaurant near Incheon's Yeonan Pier.

Geumsan Restaurant, famous for its mackerel sashimi, is located on the second floor.

⭐️Fresh mackerel 15,000 won⭐️ It comes with rice, bean sprouts, and lettuce to mix in. I was expecting a sweet and sour flavor, but it wasn't as salty as I expected, making it perfect for mixing with rice. There was so much raw mackerel that I wondered if they could really give me so much.

The best part was that the mackerel sashimi at Geumsan Restaurant near Yeonan Pier offered a refill of their soy sauce marinated crab. The side dish was also quite tasty, so I gave it a thumbs up! But then they saw my empty plate and offered a refill, to my surprise.

It wasn't salty and had plenty of crab meat, so I came here for the mackerel sashimi, but I was impressed by the soy sauce marinated crab.

Mix it up and eat it thoroughly! I spent 280 days in Southeast Asia in 2024, occasionally eating Korean food while traveling. Coming back to Korea, I've been eating the things I've been craving, and I feel like I've rediscovered the flavors I've been missing. 👩
