Back to Leh Ladakh 2024

📍Shanti Stupa

Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist stupa located on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh District, Ladakh, northern India. Built in 1991 by a Japanese monk, Kyomyo Nakamura, the stupa houses the relics of the Buddha, which were brought here by the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. The Shanti Stupa was conceived by Nishidatsu Fujii to symbolize peace in modern times.

On the first day of our trip, our guide took us here. The place is located not far from Leh. It is not very high, but the view is amazing.
