Back to Leh Ladakh 2024

📍Turtuk Village

Turtuk is a small village in Ladakh, bordering Pakistan, approximately 12 km away. It used to belong to Pakistan before it came under India in 1971. All the people in this village are Muslims.

Perhaps because of the distance from Nubra and the inconvenient transportation, Turtuk Village still retains its originality. The people are lovely and kind. The children are full of red cheeks. Along the way, you pass the Shyok River, which is blue and contrasts beautifully with the mountains.

If you plan to go to Leh, this is another place you must not miss. Especially if you come in April onwards, it will be the time when the flowers bloom, both apricot and cherry. Don't miss it.
