I love doenjang jjigae, so this is a restaurant I definitely wanted to go to.
A set meal with drug-filled doenjang jjigae as the main dish and meat as the side dish.
I was so impressed when I went there before COVID, I decided to definitely come back!
I arrived in Incheon and took a taxi from Seoul Station, but I arrived at 2pm and there was this crowd of people😂
There was a waiting opportunity outside, so I entered it first!
I had an eSIM, so I was able to use my Korean number!
You will be notified by SMS when it is your turn.
However... they close for lunch at 2:30pm.
After that, the queue resumed and it seems it will start at 5pm.
Only 2 more groups left! But then lunch service ended...
I tearfully asked the staff for advice, but it was no use (obviously lol)

I couldn't give up, so I tried again for lunch the next day!
I arrived at 11:30, waited, and was able to get in at 13:30. I waited for 2 hours...
But in the meantime, I wandered around Insa-dong. I went into a cafe, went shopping, and it was helpful that they sent me SMS notifications.
It might be hard for people without a phone number...
If you wait in front of the store, your number is displayed, so you have to check it each time, but it's possible!

And the taste...is still good!
It seems to be a little spicy.
Last time I asked for it to be a little spicier, which was delicious, but I was excited to finally be able to get in with my friends, and since the system was to ask for orders outside instead of at the table, I forgot to ask for it to be spicy...
The spicier one from last time was better! That's right 😂
But it's just as delicious!
I ordered moksal and tteokgalbi, but I ended up eating more chige than meat. LOL
We ordered regular rice, but they also serve nurungji (rice cooked in a rice pot)!
Everyone was doing that.

The interior of the restaurant is typical of Insadong, and has an old Korean house atmosphere.
There were more locals than tourists, especially families.
Maybe they've been on TV for that demographic?
Anyway, it's a pain to have to queue for so long, but it's worth trying!
