Walking through the old town of Takayama, I was attracted by the cute rice ball shop [Kiyome Rice Ball], with its hand-painted sign and friendly atmosphere, which was especially attractive in cold weather. There are only two tables in the store, which can accommodate four to six people. The rice balls made by the boss are warm in winter and come in many flavors, including beef and seafood. You can choose between white rice or brown rice, and rice balls of different sizes. Hot tea is served with the rice balls, and alpine milk ice cream is available to satisfy different taste buds.
