✓ Haritsuna Shrine
One of the two shrines located in the castle town of Inuyama, "Haritsuna Shrine" is listed in the Engishiki Jinmyōchō (Register of Deities). Since ancient times, it has been enshrined on the peak of Inuyama, serving as the guardian deity of the Nōbi region for over a millennium.
The shrine gained fame for its blessings of safe childbirth, granting children, and longevity due to Oda Nobukiyo, the uncle of Oda Nobunaga, who personally carved a wooden dog and dedicated it to the shrine to pray for these virtues. The annual "Inuyama Festival" held every April is also highly renowned.
For visiting Inuyama Castle and the two shrines, you can choose to first visit Sankō Inari Shrine, then proceed to Inuyama Castle, and on the way back, stop by Haritsuna Shrine before descending the stone steps to leave.
