[Harigasuna Shrine] Not far from Inuyama Castle, there is a shrine dedicated to the gods who protect samurai and fishermen. To me, this place represents the balanced energy and cultural protection of the castle town.
Walking past the quiet torii gate and coming to the stairs, you can see the big trees and ancient trees deeply embracing the temple. The shrine was founded in ancient times. It is said that it was built by the local lord to pray to the hunting god or "Harigasuna Great God" to pray for a smooth hunting and peace and prosperity. The space behind the torii gate is spacious and quiet, and small flags and offerings of Shinto festivals can be seen from time to time.
📍Location check-in: Harigasuna Shrine
