Introducing Blackwater River
Dajiu Lake was originally an alpine lake, inaccessible to humans, with deep swamps deep enough to swallow a person. In the 1970s, the government constructed a winding artificial river to develop Dajiu Lake and promote animal husbandry. The swamp gradually dried up, exposing the lake bottom and forming today's pastures. The overflowing lake water was collected and formed into a river called the Black Water River.
