Sweet, Crunchy & Irresistible – My Stop at Sin Weng Fai

I dropped by Sin Weng Fai during my Ipoh trip and ended up bringing home way more than I planned. Their peanut candy is super addictive—light, crunchy, and not overly sweet. I watched them pack the freshly made ones right in front of me, and the smell alone was already enough to convince me.

Besides the peanut candy, I also tried their kaya puffs, which were flaky and generously filled. So satisfying with a cup of coffee. The shop is small but busy, packed with locals and tourists grabbing snacks and souvenirs.

If you love traditional treats, this is a must-visit. Everything feels fresh, handmade, and full of old-school charm. Definitely a spot I’d return to the next time I’m in Ipoh.

Travel Tips & How to Get There
• Best time to visit: Morning is best—especially when the peanut candy is freshly packed around 10am.
• Getting there: Located in Taman Jubilee, near Lou Wong Chicken Rice. Parking can be a bit tricky.
• Tips: Limit per person may apply, especially for the popular peanut candy. Their heong peah is worth trying too!
