A must-eat warm-bodied beef in Taichung—Shangniu Restaurant II

Taiwanese hotpot is very famous, and warm-boiled beef is even more popular among Taiwanese! This time when we went to Taichung, we specially arranged to eat the famous Wenti Beef Hotpot. Shangniu Restaurant II has been awarded the Bib Gourmand recommendation, and its signature dish is the warm-bodied beef that is freshly slaughtered in Tainan every day!
We arrived at around 18:30 and there were quite a lot of people on site. 🤣Since the supply of warm-bodied beef varies every day, the store does not allow reservations and you can only queue on site. We waited about 45 minutes before we were allowed in. I chose the tendon hotpot for the soup base, which was very fresh and sweet, highly recommended! For meat, we ordered 2 plates of super tender beef and diamond meat fillet. I also ordered the quick stir-fry of bitter melon from my good friend. This portion is really too much for 2 people🤣Don’t order as much as we did, it’s really filling! Our favorite is the Diamond Meatball, which is refreshing and has a stronger beef flavor. Remember to eat the milk popsicle before leaving. It is more like condensed milk and very special!
