Ise City, Mie Prefecture.
The other day, I finally got to visit the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine, which I'd always wanted to visit.
On my trip to Ise, I started my visit to the Outer Shrine and then the Inner Shrine.
Amaterasu Omikami is enshrined in the Inner Shrine.
Even though it was a weekday, the shrine was bustling with visitors, and I could really feel the depth of their faith.
Crossing the Uji Bridge over the Isuzu River, I was enveloped in the water's sparkling surface in the morning light and the clear air, and it felt as if my soul was being cleansed.
Walking through the vast temple grounds, the rustling of the trees and the chirping of the birds naturally calmed my mind.
In front of the Main Shrine, I was enveloped in an even more solemn atmosphere, and the time I spent quietly praying was a special moment of my trip.
If you visit Ise, it's important to follow the traditional order of visiting from the Outer Shrine to the Inner Shrine.
In this space, where bustle and tranquility coexist, I was able to create unforgettable memories of my trip.
I was also able to receive a goshuin stamp.
It's a truly wonderful place, so please come and visit.
