【Ishigaki Island】A Jungle-like Experience at the Yaeyama Palm Grove

I visited the Yaeyama Palm Grove, where you can enjoy a tropical atmosphere that feels just like being in a jungle!

This grove is home to the Yaeyama palms, which can only be found on Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island. As you step into the entrance, the atmosphere instantly changes to a cool and refreshing vibe. The grove can be explored in about 15 minutes on foot, and the paths are paved, making it easy to walk.

The grove features a variety of palm trees, from tall ones to shorter ones, and no matter where you take photos, the lush greenery makes for stunning shots.

Right in front of the entrance, there’s a juice stand that serves delicious drinks made from sugarcane. It’s highly recommended! The grove is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Kabira Bay, so why not stop by for a refreshing drink and a relaxing break?
