The gymnasium at Kadowaki Elementary School has been partially renovated and displays an overview of the damage in Ishinomaki City, damaged vehicles, and temporary housing that was actually used. The flooring is still the same as it was back then.

I learned anew the importance of daily training and how to evacuate, the preciousness of life, and the meaning of living with nature.

This is a necessary place to ensure that the past is not forgotten.
