🌶️ Spicy Surprise at 爱情麻辣烫 (Aiqing Malatang), Iskandar Puteri

I stumbled upon 爱情麻辣烫 while looking for dinner around Medini and I’m so glad I walked in. This unassuming spot turned out to be a gem for Mala soup lovers. Everything—from the ingredient selection to the soup base—was on point.

The variety of ingredients was impressive. I had fun picking out everything from meat and seafood to crisp veggies, and everything looked and tasted super fresh. I went with the classic Mala broth, and it was chef’s kiss—spicy, bold, aromatic, and deeply satisfying without being overwhelming.

One highlight was the self-service condiments counter—fresh herbs, sauces, and chili that let you build your own dipping sauce. That added a personal touch I really enjoyed.

The ambience? Clean, spacious, and comfortable. Nothing flashy, but it felt like the kind of place you could easily return to with friends or family for a relaxed, hearty meal.

Price-wise, it was really reasonable for the quality and experience. It felt like good value, especially when you’re walking out full and satisfied.

This place completely exceeded expectations. Definitely a new go-to spot for Mala in Iskandar Puteri. I’ll be back for sure!
