Solo travel in Türkiye | Karakoy district with a European feel

📍Karakoy District Galata Tower

Istanbul, Turkey, is a unique city divided into European and Asian sides by the Bosphorus Strait.

The new city on the European side is the Karakoy district.

The Galata Tower is in the center of the Karakoy district.

It is a landmark building of Istanbul that can be seen from the old city across the Galata Bridge.

The area around Galata Tower does not have the exotic atmosphere of Turkey, but rather a truly European cityscape, making it feel like you are strolling through a different country.

There are also stylish cafes with terrace seats, and you can enjoy a cup of tea in style 🫖

Galata Tower is at the top of the hill, and the slope leading up to it is lined with many souvenir shops and is bustling with tourists.

There are also many general stores, so it is perfect for a girls' trip and stroll ☺️

Of course, you can also climb to the top of Galata Tower by paying the entrance fee.
When I went, I couldn't go up because they were making some adjustments, but I'm sure it's a great spot to get a panoramic view of Istanbul. 🚶 It's a 15-minute walk from the old town, Emily, across the Galata Bridge, and of course, it's also easily accessible from Karakoy wharf and the subway station. #overseastraveltrip #solotravel #istanbul #turkey #turkeytrip
