Istanbul National Archaeological Museum

📍National Archaeological Museum
Cankurtaran, 34122 Fatih/Istanbul, Turkey

Turkey, once the land of ancient Rome and Greece, offers an overwhelming array of exhibits that truly evoke the essence of "ancient times."

Although I am not very knowledgeable about history, this museum made me feel deeply connected to the world history I learned in high school and college. From famous historical figures and poets to characters from Greek mythology, I found myself thinking, "I've seen this in my textbook before!" It was a truly moving experience.

The admission fee is around 2,500 yen (subject to exchange rates), which might seem a bit pricey. However, history enthusiasts will find that one day is not enough to explore everything. The museum is so extensive that it took me half a day to go through it.

The museum building and its gardens are also incredibly beautiful, making it highly recommended. ✨
