Galata Bridge (Galata Köprüsü; Galata Bridge) spans the Golden Horn, connecting Eminönü in the Historic Peninsula (Tarihi Yarımada; Historic Peninsula) and Karaköy in Beyoglu District. It is an iconic landmark of Istanbul.
As the night begins to fall, the cool breeze feels very comfortable, and it is the best time to take a walk.
The history of Galata Bridge can be traced back to 1845. It has undergone many reconstructions. The current Galata Bridge was rebuilt in 1994.
Galata Bridge is a double-decker movable bridge, about 490 meters long and 42 meters wide. The upper floor is for vehicles and pedestrians, and there are restaurants and cafes on the lower floor. These restaurants and cafes all enjoy unbeatable views, so the prices are definitely not cheap.
Every evening, the buildings on both sides begin to light up, like stars scattered on the ground, bright and beautiful.
