A quiet noon at St. Anthony's Cathedral in Istanbul🇹🇷

#adventuremoment #turkey #europetravel

I visited St. Anthony's Basilica in Istanbul alone around noon. It was the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some quiet time. The cathedral's interior was magnificent, with bright light streaming in through the stained glass windows, creating a mystical atmosphere. The simple Gothic style, intricate carvings, and ornate altar decorations were striking, and the intricate patterns on the ceiling and the paintings on the walls were particularly impressive! It felt similar to Myeongdong Cathedral!

Although I was alone, it felt familiar. It was a peaceful experience, like engaging in a conversation with my inner self. Since there weren't many visitors, I was able to leisurely explore every nook and cranny of the cathedral, even taking a moment to meditate and relax. The surrounding small garden and the cathedral's exterior were well-preserved, making for a beautiful, relaxing stroll. If you need some healing during your trip, I highly recommend this place!

It's polite to take photos of the interior quietly, without flash, and with consideration for others.

Checking in advance to see if there are any scheduled events inside the cathedral will allow for a more peaceful experience.
