Istanbul Photo Spots to Secure the Best Position in Your Friend Circle

Before coming to Istanbul, I prepared numerous photo guides and tested these 8 photo spots for check-ins! Even beginners can easily take stunning shots～

1️⃣ Sirkeci Lokantası 1912 Restaurant (P1-P4)
This restaurant is right next to the filming location of the James Bond movie 🎬007, attracting ladies from all over the world to check in. The outdoor seats are very popular, so you can go early to grab one. The prices are a bit high; I ordered a pizza 🍕, chocolate slice, coffee, and mousse cup for about 480 TRY. The taste is quite standard.

2️⃣ Ortaköy Pier (P5-P6)
With the mosque and the Bosphorus Bridge as the background, located in the European side, quite far from the Old City. Definitely avoid coming at noon as the lighting is not good.

3️⃣ Square in front of the Blue Mosque 🕌 (P7-P9)
Due to some drizzle 🌧️, the mosque interior smelled a bit like feet (because you have to take off your shoes), so we didn’t go inside. Taking photos at the entrance still yields great shots～

4️⃣ Seven Hills Rooftop (P10-P11)
This is a restaurant 🍴 not far from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. You can go straight to the rooftop to feed the seagulls. The staff are very friendly and provide free forks, cheese 🧀, and bread. The rooftop has an amazing view, but it’s a bit windy, so bring a jacket.

5️⃣ Opposite Arnavutköy İskelesi Pier (P12)
After taking a bus to this stop, walk across the street and up the alley. Looking back, you can capture the shot in photo 11. Remember: come after 2 PM!!! But I think it’s not worth making a special trip here; you need to add filters to get the effect in the photo, and it’s quite far.

6️⃣ Under Galata Bridge (P13)
You can stroll around Galata Bridge at sunset. Many locals are fishing 🎣, and you can enjoy the Bosphorus Strait view. Besides great photos, it’s quite pleasant to feel the breeze and watch the strait～

7️⃣ BiLiCS REBAP Kebab Restaurant (P14-P16)
This restaurant is near Istiklal Street (where the tram in P17 runs). The kebabs 🍗 are quite delicious, and the owner is very nice, even standing behind you to take photos together～

8️⃣ Mado Ice Cream 🍦 (P18)
This ice cream is a local Turkish 🇹🇷 brand with multiple locations. The one I visited is near Istiklal Street, where you can take photos 📷 at the store entrance. The staff were very kind and prepared a surprise for us～
