Türkiye Travel Istanbul Admire the obelisk of Thutmose III, the ancient Egyptian pharaoh

The Obelisk of Theodosius is an obelisk of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Thutmose III, re-erected in the Hippodrome of Constantinople by the Roman Emperor Theodosius.

This obelisk is 25.6m tall including the base. Each of its four faces has a central inscribed column celebrating Thutmose III's victory over Mitanni along the Euphrates around 1450 BC!
