Visiting Hawa Mahal in Jaipur was quite an experience. The iconic facade is even more impressive in person, with all those intricate windows designed to let the breeze in. It’s better to go early in the morning to avoid the worst of the crowds.

The heat is no joke there. I’d strongly recommend bringing a sun hat and sunscreen because there’s very little shade around. Inside, the narrow passages and small chambers give you a sense of how the royal women once observed the street life below without being seen.

The views from the top are worth the climb, offering a great panorama of the city. It’s a must-see if you’re in Jaipur. The blend of history, architecture, and vibrant street life makes it unforgettable. I spent solid 3 hours wondering around and taking hundreds of pictures.
