1 - 🌊 Gwakji Beach – A Must-Visit Spot in Western Jeju
📍 Gwakji-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju
Located on the west coast of Jeju, Gwakji Beach is a place I always make time for, even if it’s just a quick stop. The stunning emerald-blue waters never fail to impress, making it one of the most photogenic beaches on the island. 📸✨
At the entrance, you’ll be greeted by the haenyeo (female diver) statue, a symbol of Jeju’s proud diving tradition. The combination of the clear sea, blue skies, and soft white clouds creates a perfect coastal scene. However, I did notice some marine debris on the beach, which was disappointing. I hope to see Gwakji Beach kept clean so that everyone can enjoy its natural beauty!
🚗 Getting there:
From Jeju International Airport: About 40 minutes by car via Iljuseo Road (일주서로).
2 - 🛍️ Gopang Goods Store – Aewol’s Hidden Gem for Souvenirs
📍 Jeju-si, Aewol-eup, Gwakji 3-gil 26, Jebi-dong 1st floor
Just a short trip from Gwakji Beach, Gopang Goods Store is a must-visit for anyone looking for unique and charming Jeju souvenirs. From handmade crafts to locally inspired keepsakes, this shop is the perfect place to pick up a special memento from your trip.
✨ Pro tip: If you book a visit through Naver in advance, you’ll receive a cute “one-hacking” ring as a special gift! 🎁 So, make sure to reserve ahead before stopping by.
Wouldn’t it be perfect to enjoy a relaxing day at Gwakji Beach and then grab some souvenirs to take home? 💙🏝️
