The two great seascapes of Jeju’s east and west: Hamdeok and Aewol’s great confrontation!

Which of the two famous seascapes on the east and west of Jeju Island should you choose, Hamdeok Beach or Aewol Coast? Let me first state the conclusion: only children make choices, I want both!

Since I was relying on buses for transportation this time, I picked a hotel that was within walking distance of Jeju Bus Terminal. I set off at 9am and took bus 201 directly to Hamdeok Beach. The water of Hamdeok Beach is very clear and transparent like blue-green jelly, and it is so beautiful with the blue sky and white clouds, the fine white sand beach and the black rocks on the shore!

We returned to the hotel to rest at noon, and then took bus 202 directly to Aewol Coast at 3 pm. Aewol is different from Hamdeok in that it does not have a large beach. Instead, it has walking trails along the coast and sea view cafes closer to the sea. We chose to set off at 3 pm in order to enjoy the sunset over Aewol and watch the sun gradually sink into the sea. In this day, we also easily enjoyed the two major sea views of the east and west of Jeju Island!

You don’t need to drive to Jeju Island, but you can still have fun easily if you choose a hotel with a suitable location!
