Jeju Island's blue beaches

🐴 Jeju Iho Tewoo Beach Travelogue

Located not far from downtown Jeju City, Iho Tewoo Beach is famous for its sea and horse-shaped lighthouse. Upon entering the sandy beach, the first thing that caught my eye were the colorful pinwheels. Spinning ceaselessly with every breeze, they blend in with the blue sky, creating a picturesque scene.

Looking farther afield, I saw the red and white horse lighthouses towering over the breakwater. Perhaps a uniquely Jeju landscape, tourists were busy snapping photos with them in the background. I, too, took a closer look. Standing proudly in the blue sea, the horse-shaped lighthouse felt like a guardian deity protecting Jeju's seas.

The sea breeze was a bit chilly, but the sound of the waves and the breeze refreshed my mind. After gazing at the waves and the lighthouse for a while, I felt a sense of peace. It's truly fascinating to be able to experience such a Jeju-esque landscape so close to the city.

Although it was only a short visit, Iho Tewoo Beach will be long remembered as more than just a beach, but a special place imbued with Jeju's unique character and story.
