Jeju Island Day 2

🌴 One-Day Jeju Travel Itinerary - From Raw Sweet Shrimp to a Historical Walk 🌊🍤☕️🏯

One of the must-visit spots in Jeju Island is Dongmun Market 🛍️. As always, I made sure to stop by during this trip. The market is bustling and filled with a variety of delicious foods! Today's highlight is none other than... raw sweet shrimp 🦐✨.

Fresh sweet shrimp is sliced into sashimi right on the spot, offering a sweet and chewy texture that's simply exquisite! Dip it lightly in soy sauce, and the ocean's aroma fills your mouth 😋. Peeling the shells is surprisingly fun, and the generous portion makes it a unique delicacy you can only enjoy in Jeju. For those who find sashimi a bit overwhelming, I highly recommend the fried sweet shrimp! Its crispiness and nutty flavor are unbeatable 🍤💕.

After filling up, I headed to a charming café nearby 🚗☕️. Jeju is dotted with delightful cafés in every little neighborhood, making café-hopping one of the joys of traveling here 🌿. Through the large glass windows, I enjoyed views of tranquil Jeju alleys and the blue sky. Sipping on a latte with soft music playing in the background was a truly relaxing moment 🎶📖.

After a brief rest at the café, I visited a unique destination: the Anti-Mongol Historical Site 🏯. Did you know Jeju has such a historically significant place? This site marks the final stand of the Sambyeolcho militia against Mongol invasions during the 13th-century Goryeo Dynasty. Walking along the serene forest paths, you can encounter remnants of fortresses and relics from that era 🌲⛩️. Experiencing history amidst nature was quite memorable.

From delicious food and a charming café to a meaningful historical walk, today in Jeju was truly fulfilling and rich 🌅. I can't wait to explore another side of Jeju on my next trip.
