The church of the holy sepulchre

This is the holiest site in Christianity as it contains the site of Jesus's crucifixion and his tomb where rose on the third day. I am not religious but I could feel the weight of history as I entered the church. It is very popular with tourists and pilgrims so be prepared for a long wait at times.

The church is located just a few hundred metres from holy Muslim and Jewish sites in the old city.
