The Hefei Three Kingdoms Ruins Park, located in Sanshigang Township, Luyang District, Hefei City, on the north bank of the old course of the Fei River, was historically known as the " New City of Hefei " during the Three Kingdoms period . Repeatedly mentioned in the "Records of the Three Kingdoms, " " New City of Hefei " was a fortified " heroic city " dating back 1,773 years. According to the Hefei County Chronicles of the Jiaqing period, Cao Wei General Man Chong defended Hefei against the Sun Wu army, building a new city 30 miles west of Hefei and stationing troops there. Cao Wei considered Hefei " the right collar and throat of the Huai River, the lips and teeth of Jiangnan, " and " the head of Jiangnan, the throat of the Central Plains .
