This is an ancient village, and an incredibly fun family-friendly resort.

It's my favorite hotel so far 🔝. It's like a Chinese-style Club Med, but with an even better experience. Even during holidays, it doesn't disappoint. Both the facilities and the service are impeccable 🥰

The hotel is located in 📍Diaoyuan Ancient Village, where descendants of Ouyang Xiu live. It's an ancient village with over a thousand years of history, open to the public and visited by tourists every day. The hotel doesn't have a separate entrance or walls; it's completely immersed in the scenic area. You could say the entire scenic area is a hotel, or the hotel is the entire scenic area. From the moment you enter the small archway and get on the luggage cart, it's like being sucked into a new world. It's often hard to tell whether you're a villager or a tourist 🍃

😃 The entire village is surrounded by more than 20,000 camphor trees, and plant aromatherapy is sprayed from time to time, so there are no mosquitoes at all. This alone is worth a million 👍
😃 The houses are old but well-renovated, maintaining their original appearance. The ceilings are high, and it's cool with the ceiling fans on. There's also underfloor heating in the winter.
😃 The rooms are huge, and all kinds of facilities, bedding, linens, and amenities are great. The mini-bar is very well-stocked, and they provide snacks in the evening 😋
😃 The service staff are friendly and attentive. From the moment you check in, they provide meticulous care. If you have any questions, just ask the Q housekeeper, and you'll get a response within 5️⃣ minutes. They not only announce each activity in advance, but also provide a brief introduction in the group chat, along with several beautiful photos (so you have ready-made content for your WeChat Moments ~ 😬). You can sign up according to your preferences, so you won't miss anything and don't have to wait in line. The experience is super great 💗
😃 There are so many activities every day that you can't possibly do them all. This is the only hotel where my two kids didn't take a nap. They kept pulling us outside. Eventually, I really couldn't walk anymore, so my partner and I took turns taking the kids out 😅 We were busy during the day, and we weren't idle at night either. There was molten iron fireworks, a nightfall ceremony, a night tour, releasing lotus lanterns, a bonfire concert...
😃 There are no extra charges during holidays, and there aren't too many tourists. If you can only travel at this time, the value for money is very high 👍

🙁 There are many small alleys, so it's easy to get lost.
🙁 The water flow in the shower and bathtub is a bit weak, so it takes a long time to fill them...
🙁 The swimming pool is in the center of the scenic area, which means there are always tourists passing by while you're swimming. This varies from person to person, but I personally find it a bit awkward 🙂‍↕️

One night, while the two little ones were asleep, my partner and I sneaked out the back door, ran to the bar to buy two grilled sausages, and walked along the river eating them, enjoying the breeze and gazing at the starry sky. The scene was so beautiful that it will be hard to forget for the rest of my life ~ 💕
