It's surprising to find such a sparsely populated and beautiful village in Guizhou

The village, located at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, doesn't attract many visitors even during holidays and festivals. Here, you can find crystal-clear streams, with the village situated along the river valley, flanked by Qinyan Slope to the east and Bayuan Slope to the west. Inside the village lies the Shenlong Pool, and outside flows the Taiping River. Two rivers run through the village, and the cobblestone alleys within connect the entire village. The Shenlong Pool in the village has a unique feature; it can predict the weather based on the water level fluctuations. The village is also home to the intangible cultural heritage of ancient paper-making and is known as 'China's No.1 Tujia Village'.

Navigation
Yunshuo Village has a parking lot at the entrance. There are buses from Tongren to Fanjing Mountain, with stops along the way.

Tips1: There are many homestays and farmhouses in the village. Cars can only be parked in the outside parking lot, and you must walk into the village.
Tips2: You must visit Shenlong Pool to take photos. The water is emerald green and very photogenic!
Tips3: The viewing platform is right next to Shenlong Pool. A short climb along the trail will take you to a platform where you can overlook the entire village. The view is fantastic, highly recommended, and not many people go there.
Tips4: The wind and rain bridge and the wetland park next to the village are also worth visiting. It's a pity that many visitors leave after just touring the village without seeing these.
Tips5: You can cross the small bridge to the uninhabited island next door. The lawn is great for taking photos, and you can also get a close-up shot of the popular homestay. There's a path that leads up to the bridge, and if you need navigation, you can ask.
Tips6: Yunshuo's popular homestays are white, with a Santorini vibe from Greece. They are very photogenic, whether you're taking pictures inside the rooms or outside.

Many visitors who come to check in say that the village is small and can be toured in 1 hour. However, many places here are still in their natural state, with limited commercialization. If you have time, stay for 1-2 days to slow down and relax. This place is definitely a serene retreat!
