Goulan Yao Village

It was first built in the Ming Dynasty and is a settlement of the Yao ethnic group. It seems like the paradise described by Tao Yuanming. The village is surrounded by mountains, with green hills and clear waters, neat houses and few tourists... October to December is the season for drying autumn crops. Yellow corn and red peppers are drying everywhere in the village, matched with reddish-brown brick houses, creating a good harvest scene!

The mountains here also have karst landforms, and the natural scenery is in no way inferior to Guilin. Driving on the country road connecting the two villages, I felt as if I had driven into a famous landscape painting! ! I really admire the wonders of nature!

Gou Lan Yao Village has preserved more than 300 Ming and Qing dynasty houses and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2019.

Gou Lan Yao Village is the settlement of Gou Lan Yao, one of the four major Yao ethnic groups. It also has a history of thousands of years of settlement. It can be divided into two parts along the mountain. The upper village has few tourists, but it also further preserves the original appearance of the Yao village.
