Sichuan Jinguang Cave | The Main Hall of Nezha Remains Proudly, a Protector of the Young God

Entering Sichuan's Jinguang Cave, the most striking feature is the central Nezha Main Hall. The hall is ancient and majestic, surrounded by the whirlwind of incense. The golden statue of the Third Prince Nezha stands proudly, holding a flaming spear and riding a wind-fire wheel, his expression fierce and resolute.

Nezha, in his youthful form, embodies the spirit of loyalty, filial piety, and protection of the Dharma. He sacrificed his life for his mother by cutting off his flesh and shaving off his bones for his father, then was reborn through the lotus body created by his master, Taiyi Zhenren, and has since become a young heroic god who protects all living beings. For this reason, believers bow before the hall, praying for peace and protection, but also venerating his fearless courage and unwavering filial piety.
