1 hour direct to Chengdu! Bringing Hayao Miyazaki’s fairy tales into autumn, the kids had a blast!

Who would have thought! We decided last minute to take the kids to the Chengdu Expo Garden for the weekend and were instantly charmed by this scarecrow park that touched our inner child!
😍 Right at the entrance, we were amazed by the Totoro scarecrow cart. The kids screamed with excitement and rushed over to take photos. Every shot looked like a scene straight out of a Miyazaki animation, so healing that I just wanted to lie down right there~
🎡 The best part was the straw maze under the Ferris wheel! The sunlight shining on the golden straw, the kids running in and out chasing the light and shadows, while I sat on a nearby bench soaking up the sun, stealing a peaceful half hour. This kind of parent-child time is just so comfortable!

We stayed at the Chengdu Expo Garden Waterfall Meijingge Hotel, a wonderful surprise that deserves special praise!

- 🚗 There’s a dedicated shuttle to and from the Expo Garden, so no need to find parking or carry luggage, making outings with kids super worry-free;
- ✍🏻 In the afternoon, there’s a parent-child craft class. The kids made a small bag for me by hand, which touched this mother’s heart deeply;
- ⛱️ We stayed on the first floor with a small garden and an outdoor bathtub. Opening the balcony door, you can see the babbling waterfall. Soaking in the tub at night while stargazing, all fatigue just melts away;
- 🍞 The breakfast selection is super rich, with both Western and Chinese options. Everything the kids love and what we adults love is all there, no worries about picky eating.

The park also has electric boats drifting on the lake. The autumn breeze brushes your cheeks as you admire the fall scenery on both sides, making you feel like time slows down; in the afternoon, we tried the dune buggy, and the kids were super excited!
It’s truly a weekend that’s easy on moms but thrilling for kids 😃 The autumn Expo Garden is really perfect for photos and exploring!
