🌟Must-Visit Attractions and Route
It’s recommended to enter from the East Gate, then visit the Stele Gallery, Wenchang Pavilion, and Guandi Temple in order. The Guandi Temple is said to be very effective for praying for academic success and wealth. Next, head to the East Barbican and Guanghua Tower. Climb the city wall to enjoy the magnificent view where the Qilian Snow Mountains meet the Gobi Desert. Then visit the Guerrilla General’s Mansion, where you might meet the internet-famous “Chief Officer” Li Sen and receive a free handwritten “Pass” document. After that, pass through the West Barbican and Rouyuan Tower. Finally, you can visit the Jiayuguan Great Wall Museum, where the immersive exhibition hall is not to be missed.

🎈Hidden Activities
You can rent a set of Hanfu at the entrance and take photos on the city wall in traditional costume for stunning shots. You can also experience camel riding around the fortress in the desert area outside the West Gate to feel a unique desert vibe. If you visit at night, don’t miss the Great Wall Epic Light and Shadow Show starting at 9 PM, best viewed from the West Barbican.

📌|Travel Tips
🔹There is a big temperature difference between day and night, so remember to bring a windbreaker, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
🔹Drones are prohibited inside the scenic area. If you have special needs, drones must be reported in advance, or security will stop you.
🔹If you want to watch the sunset, be sure to climb the city wall early in the afternoon before dark.
