Strolling through the verdant bamboo forest trail—Jiji Dashan

Jiji Dashan ~ The trailhead is surrounded by lush greenery. The first half of the trail winds through a serene and poetic grove of Moso bamboo, accompanied by the chirping of birds and insects, making the walk quite pleasant. 🎋

The trail is shaded by dense foliage, with fresh air and occasional glimpses of scenic views, building anticipation for the expansive mountain vistas at the summit. ⛰️

However, upon reaching the summit, I was greeted by a thick wall of white clouds and mist. Yushan and the Central Mountain Range were completely hidden, leaving only a lonely red-and-white TV tower standing in the fog. It was both amusing and disappointing. 😭

That said, the trail is well-maintained, and despite some fallen trees, it remains passable. A friendly reminder to wear long sleeves and pants and apply insect repellent, as the forest mosquitoes are anything but merciful! 🦟

Although the views were obscured, the cool breeze through the bamboo forest and the small joy of reaching the summit still made this "white wall hiking adventure" a memorable experience. ❤️
