Crossing a century to encounter the most artistic train station

In Jilin City, there is a building favored by time — Jilin West Station🚉 It is not just a station, but a treasure where history and art intertwine.

This train station, built in 1928, was designed by Lin Huiyin and approved by Liang Sicheng. It is the terminus of the first railway in Northeast China built by Chinese people. The Gothic pointed roof paired with traditional Chinese glazed tiles looks like a resting lion from above, with the lion’s tail transforming into a 29-meter-high clock tower. The Philips rotor at the tower’s peak silently turns through time.

Jilin’s cultural tourism has also been working hard in recent years. Although the attraction is small, the stamp collection for visitors takes up half the visit time because there are two sets of color combination stamps, which look very beautiful when printed (see photo seven).

My cousin once passed by here as a child and happened to see Andy Lau filming a movie, probably "A Moment of Romance III: Fire in the Heart." She got Andy Lau’s autograph but was caught by the teacher when secretly looking at it in class, and the autograph was torn up on the spot.

This place was also a filming location for the popular drama "The World Between Us" a few years ago. On a good day, it’s quite photogenic.
