Jingning｜Zhejiang's Only Ethnic Minority Area, a Pristine and Little-Known Destination

Today, I’m sharing a little-known city in Zhejiang that you probably haven’t even heard of.

✔️ About Jingning
Officially known as Jingning She Autonomous County, it is Zhejiang’s only ethnic minority autonomous county. Although there aren’t many “pristine” scenic spots, whether it’s the ancient mountain village bridges or the rocky streams in the canyons, adventurous travelers will find plenty to satisfy their spirit of exploration🏃‍♀️.

What to do in Jingning❓
📍 China She Ethnic Museum
The museum is quite large, housing over 1,800 items including She ethnic costumes, daily life tools, documents, and ritual objects, giving you a tangible understanding of the She people.

📍 Yunzong Daji
Daji is located in a high mountain basin at an altitude of 1,030 meters. 🌿 Here stands a 1,500-year-old king of Chinese cedar trees. There’s the charming Xiaozuogu Village with its pastoral terraced fields, the Song Dynasty-era Sisi Temple, and the hundred-meter-high cliff waterfall called Xuehuaji.

📍 Window to the She Homeland
This is also a She ethnic village, but compared to Yunzong Daji, there are fewer activities here. The village is surrounded by mountains and water, and there’s an old street perfect for strolling and exploring.

The stone building ancient town perfectly blends with the Jiangnan water town style. You can wear exquisite and beautiful She costumes while walking the old streets and taking photos.

📹 Filming location for the show "Running Man," this famous She ethnic style street has a much stronger She cultural atmosphere than the county town and features She ethnic performances.
