The title comes from the name of this Quanzhou hotel, Seven Xu Reef KAIPUU.
(Finnish "kaukokaipuu") perfectly describes what travel means to me.
Located on 175-million-year-old natural reefs in Weitou Village, Jinjiang, Quanzhou, every corner of the interior space has a natural poetic beauty. Especially the architecture and interior design of the public spaces - you can sit in any corner, listen to the waves, and enjoy the moment for hours.
It's quite far - about a 50-minute drive from the airport. But it's definitely a place worth visiting. The beach is particularly beautiful, and the reefs, waves, and sea breeze are all very refreshing.
The surrounding amenities are average, certainly not as abundant as downtown. The hotel restaurant is beautiful too, but the food is just okay.
