The Jiwang Temple faces south and is 108 meters long from north to south, 38 meters wide from east to west, and covers an area of 4,100 square meters. The plane layout adopts the traditional Chinese central axis symmetry. The original mountain gate was destroyed early. From front to back, there are the Xian Hall, Houji Hall, Bagua Pavilion, Jianglu Hall, etc., with bell and drum towers on both sides. The Xian Hall is three rooms wide and three rooms deep, with a single eaves hanging on the top of the mountain. There are no eaves walls in front and back, leading directly to the Jiwang Temple. The Jishan Jiwang Temple is magnificent in scale. The Yuan and early Qing Dynasty buildings are exquisitely carved with stone and wood, which can be called the best of the similar Jiwang Temple in Hedong. It has precious historical, scientific and artistic value. It provides valuable physical materials for studying the historical evolution, architectural characteristics, ancient agricultural production, stone and wood carving art of the Jiwang Temple. On May 25, 2006, the Jishan Jiwang Temple was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
