Xiangxi bridge in the clouds

Deep into the hills in the Xiangxi area to the West of Hunan is a bridge across a canyon that, in the mornings is engulfed in clouds.

Wandering around the area is a great way to take in all the clean non-city air and, with a bit of luck. you’ll have the area all to yourself as it’s not the most popular tourist destination in the area.

Just a short train ride out from both Furong, Fenghuang, and Zhangjiajie - the town is a solid way to add a day or two to your local travel itinerary.

Oh, but bring your own coffee - there’s really not too many places around to grab anything ☕️
