[Taiwan] We recommend staying overnight at Jiufen, a super popular spot in Taiwan.

Today I'd like to introduce you to Jiufen, an incredibly popular spot in Taiwan.
This was my second time there, but the first time was a day trip from Taipei city and I didn't have much time, so this time I decided to stay overnight.
When I arrived in the evening, the area was bustling with tourists! The narrow stone-stepped shopping street was thronged with people, but it was fun to walk around sampling Jiufen's local specialties and feel like a festival.

The atmosphere was great when the lanterns were lit.
Around 9 o'clock, the crowds thinned out like magic and the streets were deserted.
I was able to take as many photos as I wanted on the popular staircases and in front of the tea shops, and I had quiet Jiufen all to myself.

The next morning, there were fewer tourists, making for a pleasant stroll. The shops were still setting up, so it was refreshing to get a glimpse of the real Jiufen.
I'm really glad I stayed overnight, as I was able to experience a different charm from a quick daytime sightseeing trip.
I highly recommend staying overnight if you're going to Jiufen.
