The distance from Taipei to Jiufen is about 1 to 1.5 hours one way👍

You can also make a day trip, but you should do your research carefully so you don't waste time getting lost or on the wrong train😉

There are 4 ways to get from Taipei to Jiufen:
"bus", "train + bus or taxi", "taxi", and "local tour"✨

The most recommended way for first-timers in Taiwan is a local tour😆

You don't have to worry about getting lost or on the wrong train, and there are tours where you can listen to a guide's explanation, so you can deepen your understanding🙌

If you're going on your own, the bus is also highly recommended! It's easy because you can get there in one bus and you can catch it from a bus stop in central Taipei👍

You can take the 965 from MRT Ximen Station and MRT Beimen Station, and the 1062 from MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station😉

However, be careful because the 1062 has a timetable but the 965 doesn't👍

The train and transfer method is more difficult than a single bus, so it's probably not for beginners💦
But if you want to enjoy a train trip, it might be worth a try😉
