Reliving a Childhood Classic: The Awe of Pearl Shoal Waterfall

I first encountered Pearl Shoal Waterfall in my childhood, through the ending credits of Journey to the West. The magnificent scene of waters cascading down, paired with the familiar melody, left a deep imprint on my mind. As it played at the end of every episode, my longing to see it grew.

Now, I finally had the chance to stand before this majestic waterfall in Jiuzhaigou, feeling the thunderous roar of the currents and the refreshing spray of water droplets. It was even more grand and spectacular than it appeared on screen—the rushing waters poured down like a silver river, while the splashing droplets, crystal-clear and shimmering, truly resembled scattered pearls. Seeing a childhood dream materialize before my eyes filled me with an overwhelming sense of fortune and emotion.
