China’s Hidden Gem: The Pearl Shoal Waterfall

Eventually, the water gathers speed and plunges off the edge of the shoal, forming Pearl Shoal Waterfall — a cascading curtain of water that drops approximately 21 meters (69 feet) and stretches over 40 meters (131 feet) in width.

Unlike many steep waterfalls, the wide and smooth travertine slope over which the water flows creates a silky, even cascade, spreading the water like a delicate veil.
