Two-Day Self-Drive Trip from Changzhou Along the Anhui-Zhejiang Sky Road|||After my first self-drive trip to the Sichuan-Tibet Highway in Southern Anhui, I discovered how beautiful Southern Anhui really is
So I went on another self-drive trip along the Anhui-Zhejiang Sky Road 😇😇
Day 1 (Rainy turning to cloudy)
It takes about 2.5 hours to drive from Changzhou to Xuancheng
1️⃣ First stop: Zhang Mountain Grand Canyon, entrance fee CNY 54💰
It was raining that day. We were stubborn enough to buy tickets and go in, but there were very few people there. As we walked, we got more and more scared 🤣🤣 We were completely surrounded by mountains and water, with only the sound of water and rain. Shivering, we had to hurry through the whole route, which took about 2 hours. However, the water was really clean and the scenery was nice. It would be a great place to visit on a nice day.
2️⃣ Second stop: Longchuan Scenic Area, entrance fee CNY 75💰
🥹 Advertised as a 5A scenic spot
But to be honest, the area is quite small
Mostly inhabited by local residents
Not very commercialized
It was cloudy when we visited
CNY 75 per person really wasn't worth it 🤣
They say you can get in for 🆓 after 5:30pm when security leaves - you can try your luck
Day 2 (Sunny)
1️⃣ First stop: Kantou Village Water Street
Not commercialized, perfect for an early morning stroll. Beautiful mountains and waters
2️⃣ Check-in at the entrance of the Anhui-Zhejiang Sky Road
3️⃣ Shang Village Scenic Area 🆓
An authentic rural village
Felt like there were more tourists than locals 🥲
We visited in autumn when crops were being sun-dried
4️⃣ Lovers' Waterfall
5️⃣ Yunshan Ridge Observation Deck
6️⃣ Little Jiuhua Scenic Area
7️⃣ Dizang Grand Canyon
The end of the Anhui-Zhejiang Sky Road reaches Zhejiang Province 😇 So we crossed through three provinces: Jiangsu-Anhui-Zhejiang 😅 The highest elevation of the Anhui-Zhejiang Sky Road is 1,158m. The mountain roads are easy to drive, not tiring at all. Perfect for a weekend leisure trip.
