Wangwu Mountain: A Day Trip to Taste the Flavor of Ban, Travel with Li Bai

It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Zhengzhou to Wangwu Mountain. The mountain is steep, and you can almost take the public transportation facilities in the scenic area for the whole journey, including shuttle buses, battery cars, cable cars, magic carpets, and slides. There are only short connecting stairs to climb up and down to the top of the mountain. The whole journey is not tiring, making it an excellent place to enjoy autumn and take children for a walk around Zhengzhou.

1. Buy tickets in advance on Trip.com and the official account. Trip.com offers a discount of CNY 10 for a single ticket and CNY 20 for a package ticket one day in advance. Discounted package tickets for children can be purchased on the official account. Follow the official account of Wangwu Mountain Scenic Area and click the mini program to buy tickets. You can buy a one-way ticket for the cable car or a round-trip ticket. We bought a one-way ticket at first, but when we reached the top of the mountain, the staff said that the trail was more than ten kilometers long, with more than 4,000 steps, so we took the cable car down the mountain.

2. If you plan a one-day tour, it is strongly recommended to take the cable car up and down, or take the cable car up and the trail down. According to the locals in the scenic area, it takes at least 4 hours to climb the mountain one way, which is not only physically exhausting but also time-consuming.

3. The main attractions of Wangwu Mountain are at the foot of the mountain, such as Yantai Palace and Foolish Old Man Square. The Millennium Ginkgo Tree and Immortal Spring are in the middle of the mountain. You can choose to climb the mountain first, then take the battery car down the mountain to the Millennium Ginkgo Tree and Wangwu Square. The driver will ask if there are any tourists going to Yantai Palace. You can get off here and walk to Yantai Palace. After visiting, walk down the mountain through Tianzheng Gate to Wangwu Old Street. When we went to Yantai Palace after the National Day holiday, it was temporarily closed for maintenance. You can check in at the stone carving of Li Bai, a popular online celebrity.

4. In autumn, Wangwu Mountain is covered with colorful trees, which are very beautiful. We took the shuttle bus, cable car, magic carpet, and slide for the whole journey, which was a great experience and not tiring. It took about two and a half hours to finish the tour, and the whole journey took 4 hours. After leaving the scenic area, we navigated to Boai County to eat the famous local beef and beef offal, and then returned to Wen County to buy authentic Gaolu yam. It was a fruitful day.
