A Relaxing Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru

During my recent trip to Johor Bahru, I had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the signature warm cookie at check-in to the impeccable service, this hotel truly knows how to make guests feel welcome.

📍 Location

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, within walking distance of attractions like Komtar JBCC, City Square Mall, and the Johor Bahru Customs/Immigration complex. If you’re planning a trip to Singapore, it’s only a short drive or bus ride across the Causeway.

🏨 Check-in & First Impressions

As soon as I entered the lobby, I was greeted by friendly staff and offered their signature warm chocolate chip cookie – a small gesture, but one that made a great first impression. The lobby is stylish and modern, with plenty of seating areas and a nice touch of greenery.

🛏 Room

I booked a King Guest Room, and it was spacious, clean, and well-designed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had all the amenities I needed – a large flat-screen TV, a work desk, complimentary bottled water, and a rain shower in the bathroom. The city view from my window, especially at night, was a bonus.

🍽 Dining

I had breakfast at Makan Kitchen, the hotel’s main restaurant. It offered a fantastic variety of local and international dishes – from roti canai and nasi lemak to pancakes and omelets made to order. The service was attentive, and the quality of the food was excellent. I also tried room service one evening, and the food arrived hot and well-presented.

The outdoor infinity pool was a highlight of my stay – perfect for a relaxing swim with views of the city skyline. There’s also a fully equipped gym, a steam room, and a Jacuzzi for those looking to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

💼 Business-Friendly

If you're a business traveler, you’ll appreciate the hotel’s executive lounge and business facilities. The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was fast and reliable, which made working remotely easy.
