Opero JB - affordable hotel near mall

Love the modern amenities in this Opero Hotel. The colors of the furniture and accessories blends in nicely with the hotel theme. Am impressed with the breakfast spread. Delicious and the presentation was classy. The staff at breakfast was kind and attentive. The only downside was, made a booking for connecting rooms (had my kids with me) way in advance but this was not fulfilled by the Recep. Kept saying hotel is fully booked. Payment was made for a king (more expensive and twin so that it will be connected but yet she could do nothing about it. It was my birthday staycation. The least she could do is to provide service recovery immediately but nothing was offered. I even had to ask for a late checkout for 1pm but she only gave one room for the late checkout.
Such a disappointment. Another point to note was, both toilets had bad sewage smell. Read this in the many reviews already, so the hotel should be doing something by now otherwise have a room fragrance placed in the toilet. If u shut the door, the smell would not spread to the sleeping area. A good point for those driving, it's free parking with good security. Indeed safe. Not mistaken there's a shuttle to midvalley mall.
