🍣 Fresh & Fun Conveyor‐Belt Dining at Dolphin Port

We dropped by Mawaru Sushi Mekkemon Dolphin Port during our time in Kagoshima—and it quickly became one of our favorite sushi stops!
What made it great:
• The sushi was incredibly fresh with a wide variety, from seared salmon and tuna to sweet shrimp and scallops. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared.
• The two-tier conveyor system was fun and efficient—sushi ran on the top belt, and sauces and cups on the lower belt.
• The place was lively and welcoming, with cheerful greetings from the staff and a buzzing vibe that added to the experience.
• The prices were very reasonable considering the quality. It felt like having top-tier sushi without the hefty price tag.
We also noticed that it’s popular with both locals and tourists. Expect a bit of a wait during dinner time, but it’s well worth it.
Pro tip: Go early around opening hours to beat the crowd. The heart-shaped tamagoyaki and seared mayo salmon were standout dishes. Don’t forget to try both the sweet and salty soy sauces too.
If you’re visiting Kagoshima and looking for a fun and tasty sushi experience, Mekkemon at Dolphin Port is a must.
