Kagoshima-Senganen Sakurakatei (super recommended restaurant)

Located in Kagoshima Senganen, Sakuraka-tei is a high-end Japanese restaurant full of historical atmosphere. It used to be a welcoming facility for the Shimazu family, but now it is open to the public and offers exquisite Kaiseki lunches. The entire building retains the traditional Japanese style. From the inside of the restaurant, you can see Kinko Bay and Sakurajima, and the scenery is really healing.

Sakuraka-tei mainly uses local ingredients from Kagoshima, such as black pork, Satsuma chicken, fresh fish and seasonal vegetables, paired with exquisite plating and handmade dishes, the whole dining experience is very exquisite. It is especially recommended to eat a set meal at noon, which is not only rich in content, but also more affordable than dinner.

After the meal, you can also visit Senganen and the Shanggu Integrated Museum next to it. It is a perfect itinerary combining landscape, history and food. It is recommended that you make an appointment in advance, especially in the peak tourist season of spring and autumn.
